Dog parks in Rødovre Municipality (Rødovre Kommune)

Rødovre Municipality is a green suburban municipality west of Copenhagen, where Vestvolden (the old western rampart) winds through the municipality as a long, continuous green belt with grassy ramparts, paths and old trees. Despite its location close to the city, there are good options for daily walks with your dog along the rampart and the many park strips. The municipality is easy to get around on foot.

Rødovre has no registered dog park of its own, but several large dog parks and fenced dog parks lie in the neighbouring municipalities - for example in Vestskoven to the west and in the green areas around Damhusengen.

Within the municipality itself, Vestvolden and the parks close to the city are widely used for dog walking, though your dog must be kept on a lead there. For off-lead play, the dog parks in the surrounding area are not far away.

The green corridors and ramparts give shelter and shade and link Rødovre with the open countryside and the forests to the west. There is no coast in the municipality, so walks follow paths through parks and along the rampart. If your dog needs to run off-lead, the nearest dog parks are only a short trip away in the neighbouring municipalities.
