Dog parks in and near Aalborg

Aalborg lies on the Limfjord in the heart of North Jutland, where town and nature meet along the shores of the fjord. Around the city you will find hilly scrubland, river valleys and woodland, and the Limfjord adds fresh air and views to your walks. It is an obvious place to have an active dog, whether you live in the centre or on the outskirts.

In and around Aalborg there is a wide choice of woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks, from spots close to the city to larger woodlands. Lundby Krat and Hammer Bakker (fenced) offer hilly woodland terrain with long paths, while the fenced Budumvej Hundeskov lies closer to the city. Several places have puppy-friendly areas and room to play, and one offers agility for keen trainers.

With the Limfjord right on your doorstep, there are several places where your dog can go in the water. On ordinary beaches and fjord shores, dogs must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September, and your dog may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year round.
