Sigrid Undsets Vej Hundepark

Sigrid Undsets Vej Hundepark - known locally as "Hundemarken" or "Hundenes jord" - is a small, fully fenced off-lead area with 2 gates in Aalborg Øst. It was laid out next to Himmerland Boligforening (Afdeling 44/45) and is a safe green space close to home for everyday walks. The fenced area covers a manageable 0.1 hectares exactly, or 1,000 m². In other words, this dog park is best suited to socialising and shorter walks, and you can always keep an eye on your dog easily. The ground is a classic grass area with paths, maintained by the housing association and mown by machine a couple of times a year. One of the big advantages of this spot is the extra effort put into safety. Where many dog parks have wide mesh in the fence, the lower part of the fence here is reinforced with an extra strip of fine-mesh wire that runs right down to the ground. This means even very small dogs and puppies cannot slip out. As the area is part of the residential neighbourhood at Sigrid Undsets Vej, there is no large dedicated car park for the dog park. If you come by car, use the ordinary public parking bays in the residential area and walk the last short stretch to the fenced area. At the area itself you will find the practical essentials: a bin and a dispenser with dog bags, making it easy for everyone to keep "Hundemarken" clean and tidy.
