Dog parks in Aalborg Municipality (Aalborg Kommune)

Aalborg Municipality stretches along both sides of the Limfjord in North Jutland, where the water divides the landscape and the terrain shifts between hills, river valleys and open countryside. Areas such as Hammer Bakker and Østerådalen offer hilly terrain and views, and the fjord is never far away.

It is a municipality with both a big city and wild nature within short distances. That combination makes it ideal for varied walks with your dog.

Aalborg Municipality has many dog parks to choose from, spread from Frejlev in the west to Poulstrup Sø in the east. Frejlev Hundeskov and Lundby Krat Hundeskov, both fenced, are classic woodland areas with tall trees, while Hundemark i Mulighedernes Park is a fenced dog park closer to the city.

Several places offer woodland, agility and puppy areas, so there is something for both young and older dogs.

Along the Limfjord you can also get down to the water with your dog. On ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control.

Only on official dog beaches may your dog swim and run off-lead all year round, so check the signs before you let your dog into the water.
