Dog parks in Vesthimmerland Municipality (Vesthimmerlands Kommune)

Vesthimmerland Municipality lies in western Himmerland down towards the Limfjord, where rolling hills, heath and fjord coast meet. From Løgstør on the fjord to Aars and Farsø inland, the landscape alternates between fields, woods and open countryside. The calm, wide nature gives plenty of room for long walks with your dog.

Vesthimmerland Municipality has several dog parks spread between its towns. Aars Skov and Farsø Hundeskov offer woodland, shade and good paths, and near Aalestrup and Gedsted you will find dog parks close to town. Ranum also has a dog playground in town where your dog can run off-lead in the fenced area.

Along the Limfjord there are lovely walks by the water. On ordinary beaches dogs must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on official dog beaches may dogs swim and run off-lead all year, so watch the signs along the fjord.

The dog parks in Vesthimmerlands Kommune are in postcodes 9600 Aars, 9620 Aalestrup, 9631 Gedsted, 9640 Farsø and 9681 Ranum.
