Løgstør lies beautifully on the Limfjord in north-western Himmerland, known for its fjord landscape, wide meadows and closeness to Vejlerne. With fjord, fields and plantations nearby, there is plenty of room for varied dog walks.
In and around Løgstør you will find several woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks within a short distance. The fenced Aars Skov and Farsø Hundeskov offer woodland and shelter, while Kollerup Plantage nearer the coast has dune landscape and broad trails. In several places your dog can run off-lead under control, and there are also fenced areas and room for agility.
The Limfjord stretches along Løgstør, but on ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year, so keep an eye on the signs.
Outside the summer the fjord coast is wonderful for long, windswept walks.
