Dog parks in and near Aars

Aars lies in the heart of Himmerland, surrounded by woods, heath plains and the quiet North Jutland countryside. The town is close to several woodland areas and to the river valleys that wind through the area, giving plenty of room for long dog walks away from traffic. The nature here is quiet and wide open.

In and around Aars you will find several dog parks where your dog can run on the woodland floor and in the shade. Aars Skov (fenced) is close to town, while Nørager Hundeskov and Bjerregrav Hundeskov, both fenced, offer woodland walks a little outside town. Among other things there is agility, and a private dog park adds to the public woods if you want a fenced area.

Aars is inland, so here it is mainly the woods and the Himmerland lakes that draw you. At the local swimming lakes your dog can join you in the water, but remember that your dog must be under control and that it may have to be on a lead out of consideration for other visitors. Otherwise the woods around town offer lots of space for fresh air and long walks all year round.
