Dog parks in and near Støvring

Støvring lies in Himmerland south of Aalborg, in a green landscape of woodland, lakes and river valley. The Rold Skov area and Lindenborg Ådal are within reach, and there are lakes and scrubland close to town. It is an obvious base for varied dog walks.

In and around Støvring there are a handful of woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks with room to play and run. At Juelstrup Sø you will find the dog park Himmelhunden, and a little further out lies, among others, the fenced Lundby Krat Hundeskov. Several places have a woodland floor and shade, and there are also fenced areas where puppies and young dogs can be let off the lead safely.

Støvring is an inland town where the woods and lakes are the draw. At lakes such as Juelstrup Sø your dog can have a swim where this is allowed, but it must be kept under control in the woods and scrubland. The countryside can be used all year round, with shade in summer and shelter among the trees in winter.
