Hadsund lies beautifully on Mariager Fjord, often called Denmark's most beautiful fjord, with wooded slopes and calm water. The fjord landscape and the nearby woods make the town a lovely place to walk your dog.

Along Mariager Fjord there are several places to get down to the water, but mind the rules. On ordinary beaches and fjord shores dogs must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Swimming freely all year is only allowed on official dog beaches.
