Nysum Hundeskov

In the village of Husum, south of Rold Skov and centrally placed between Hobro, Aars and Støvring, you will find Nysum Hundeskov, also known locally as Fritidsparkens Hundeskov. The area belongs to Rebild Municipality and offers a fenced, green landscape with a beautiful, wide view over the surrounding fields and open countryside. Just inside the fence there is a wooden picnic table where you can take a well-earned rest and enjoy the view while your dogs explore. At the entrance an information board clearly sets out the rules for the dog park, and you use it at your own risk. Inside the fence your dog may run off-lead, but only if you have full control of it. You must always keep an eye on your dog, and it is your responsibility to make sure it stays within the marked area. To keep the place safe and pleasant for everyone, disobedient dogs, aggressive dogs and dogs in behavioural training are not welcome inside the off-lead area. These dogs must be walked outside the dog park instead, and always on a lead. For hygiene and the dogs' general health, all visitors are strongly urged to always pick up after their dog. As the sign explains, droppings can contain various bacteria and intestinal worms, which pose an unnecessary risk of infection to healthy dogs.
