Dog parks on Bornholm

Bornholm is the rocky island in the Baltic Sea, where granite cliffs, deep rift valleys and some of Denmark's largest continuous woodlands create a very special landscape. From the vast woods of Almindingen to the dramatic rocky coasts in the north and the white sand at Dueodde, there's endless variety to explore. The hilly, wild landscape makes Bornholm an adventure for both dog and owner.

Bornholm has several dog parks set in the island's woodland, including the fenced Hareløkkerne i Almindingen and the cosy, fenced Rø Hundeskov. Here your dog can run among tall trees, rocks and forest floor with plenty of shade and exciting smells. If you want a fenced area, there are also dog parks such as the fenced Tejn Hundepark, where your dog can romp about safely.

Bornholm's coast offers everything from cliffs to the fine white sand at Dueodde. On the island's ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run free from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Outside the summer season the wide beaches are perfect for long, bracing walks along the Baltic Sea.
