Dog parks in Bornholm Regional Municipality (Bornholm Kommune)

Bornholm Regional Municipality is an island in the Baltic Sea with nature unlike the rest of Denmark. Granite cliffs, deep rift valleys, the large Almindingen forest and a dramatic rocky coast make a landscape full of contrasts. There is dense forest, open commons and cliffs dropping into the sea. Hareløkkerne in Almindingen lies in the middle of the island's large forest, while Blykobbe Plantage near Rønne and Hasle Fælled offer forest and open nature close to the towns. In several places your dog can run off-lead, and the spots are well spread from Rønne in the west to Nexø in the east.

Bornholm's rocky coast also invites walks by the water, but mind the rules. On ordinary beaches dogs must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year, so check the signs before letting your dog off by the sea.
