Dog parks in and near Skive

Skive lies on the Limfjord in Central and West Jutland, where the water of the fjord meets heath, plantations and open, hilly countryside. The town has both nature close to the fjord and large conifer woods right on its doorstep. That gives dog owners a wide choice of routes, from coastal paths to deep woodland.

In and around Skive you will find a long list of dog parks, woodland and fenced. The fenced Skive Plantage is right by the town with woods and shade, and places such as Sjørup Plantage and Nibsbjerg Plantage offer vast conifer woods for long off-lead runs - several with agility or a puppy area. You can choose between large plantations and smaller fenced areas.

At Skive the Limfjord is a natural part of life with a dog, but the beach rules apply here too.

On ordinary beaches, your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on an official dog beach may it swim and run off-lead all year round, so check the signs by the fjord.
