Dog parks in and near Struer

Struer sits beautifully on the Limfjord in north-west Jutland, with water, hills and large plantations close by. The town is surrounded by forest and fjord landscape, and both Klosterheden and the surrounding nature areas are a short way off. That makes for airy, varied dog walks.

In and near Struer you will find several dog parks where your dog can run off-lead among tall trees. Klosterheden is one of Denmark's largest plantations, and the dog park at Kobbelhøje is right nearby. Further out, Tvis Hundeskov and Nibsbjerg Plantage, among others, offer woodland floor, shade and plenty of room, and there are also fenced options for less experienced dogs.

Although Struer is on the fjord, it is above all the large woods and plantations that give your dog room. In Klosterheden you can walk for hours along forest roads and paths, with shade in summer and shelter in winter. Remember that your dog must be under control so the forest wildlife is left in peace.
