Helles Hundeskov

You will find Helles Hundeskov (a private dog park for hire) a little east of Holstebro. This area for running off-lead on a large field is fully fenced private land. You can only visit if you book in advance, but in return you have the whole area to yourself, so you and your dog get peace and quiet to exercise, play or train without being disturbed by others. The area is an open grass field with trees outside the fence along the western part, which can cast some shade, especially in the evening. The area measures 50 x 300 metres and is safely surrounded by a 180 cm high fence. There are two entrances with gates into the fenced area. The field is divided into two zones: Training area: At the southern end the grass is cut short, making it ideal for focused dog training. Nature trails: On the rest of the field the grass grows "wild on purpose", but there are mown trails for the dogs to follow and sniff along. There is easy parking right on the grass along the road by the fenced area. In winter or during wet periods you can also park on the tarmac at the entrance to the farm. At the entrance you will find rubbish bins, and there are several benches and a table and bench set where you are welcome to sit down and enjoy a packed lunch. Opening hours: The area can be used every day from 05.00 to 22.00. Several households: If people from different households use the area at the same time, each household must pay for access. Dogs on a lead: Dogs must be on a lead outside the fenced area, out of consideration for neighbours, children and wildlife. Clean up after yourselves: Always pick up dog poo and put it in the bins. Also, do not let your dog dig in the grass. Responsibility: You use the area at your own risk, and you should leave it as you would like to find it.
