Klinkeby Hundeskov

Klinkby Hundeskov is a locally run, fenced dog area in the village of Klinkby in Lemvig Municipality. With a modest area of just 50x30 metres, it unofficially holds the title of probably Denmark's smallest dog park. The area is framed by a fence and a solid wooden gate with wire mesh, giving a safe, easy-to-oversee grass and nature area where dogs can run off-lead safely. The dog area is a direct result of strong local commitment. The initiative came from a local resident, Klaus, who missed an informal meeting point for the village's dogs, where people could meet and have a chat in everyday life. With backing from the Klinkby-Tørringhuse-Houe Borgerforening (residents' association), the vision was realised, and today the area works exactly as intended, as an important social hub for dogs and owners in the community.
