Bonnet Hundeskov

Bonnet Hundeskov is a small dog park in the West Jutland village of Bonnet, a little south of Lemvig. It covers 0.5 hectares (5,000 square metres), which is just under three quarters of a standard football pitch. Despite its modest size, which has given it a reputation as one of the very smallest dog parks in Denmark, it offers a wonderful, safe space where dogs can run, sniff and play off-lead. The whole dog park is fully fenced and laid out as a long, narrow strip. When you arrive, remember to close and lock the gate securely behind you. Although the fenced area is a space to roam freely, the usual rules for public off-leash areas apply: you must have full control of your dog and be able to call it back at any time. In the middle there is a picnic table with benches where you can take a break. The dog park is still being developed, and there are plans for a proper path down through the middle of the area and for agility equipment for active training. There is no car park close by, so you park along the road instead. Outside the fenced dog area, dogs must always be on a lead out of consideration for the surroundings.
