Læsø Klitplantage

Læsø Klitplantage Hundeskov has moved to a brand new location, where it is now Hundeskoven ved Badesøen. The old area at Storedalsvej has closed, and the new site officially opened its gates in autumn 2023. The new area covers exactly 4.3 hectares, or 43,000 m². To put that in perspective, this upgrade is about the size of 6 international football pitches, giving dogs a huge amount of room to let off steam. The fenced area is laid out in a clear triangular shape with three handy entrances, one in each corner of the wood. The terrain is classic dune plantation woodland, perfect for plenty of free play, socialising and exciting scent trails between the trees. At the entrance by the car park there is a handy water point, so four-legged friends can quickly quench their thirst. Because of the natural, rough and uneven forest floor, however, the area is not classed as accessible for disabled visitors. You will find the gravel car park belonging to it by turning onto Blågranvej from Stenbrovejen; the car park is about 200 metres along. It connects directly with one of the dog park's three self-closing gates, so you can lead your dog safely from the car straight into the fenced area. The new location means the dog park shares facilities and parking with the popular overnight camping spot at Badesøen. Although the name (bathing lake) invites a dip, it is strictly forbidden to let your dog swim or bathe off-lead in Badesøen itself. In all other parts of Læsø Klitplantage, dogs must always be on a lead.
