Dog parks in and near Sæby

Sæby lies on the Kattegat in North Jutland, with a charming old town centre, Sæby Å and woods just outside town. The mix of coast, river and woodland gives you plenty of options for dog walks all year round. Here it is only a short step from town to open countryside.

In and around Sæby you will find several woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks within reach of the town. Sæby Hundeskov lies close to the coast with forest and shade, and further out you will find places such as Sømosen Hundeskov in Dronninglund Storskov and Frederikshavn Hundeskov. Several of the forests give plenty of room to vary the walk, and there is also room for puppies.

Sæby is close to the coast, and long sandy beaches stretch along the Kattegat both south and north of town. On ordinary beaches, dogs must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on official dog beaches may your dog swim and run off-lead all year round.
