Bangsbo hundeskov

Bangsbo Hundeskov is a fenced off-lead area in the scenic Bangsbo area in the southern part of Frederikshavn. The dog park officially opened its gates on 11 June 2022 and was set up by Frederikshavn Municipality to give the town's dog owners a safe, easy-to-oversee place to meet. The area covers about 2.5 hectares - 25,000 m2 - which in round figures matches the size of 3.5 international football pitches. A path of about 550 metres winds through the fenced woodland, making it easy for both two- and four-legged visitors to get around. The terrain gives dogs plenty of chances to use their senses on the woodland floor, get lots of exercise and socialise with other dogs under controlled conditions. The dog park is right on Donbækvej. It is very easy to reach by car, as there is a good dedicated car park right by the entrance to the fence. If you come by public transport, there is a bus stop less than 700 metres from the entrance.
