Asaa Hundeskov

Asaa Hundeskov is a really nice, fully fenced off-lead area on the southern edge of the harbour town of Asaa in Vendsyssel, North Jutland. It was set up by Brønderslev Municipality and offers a safe haven where dogs can run off-lead and socialise within a closed space. According to the official municipal records, the wood covers just over 2 hectares (20,476 m²), roughly the size of 2.8 international football pitches. The dog park is fenced with sturdy game fencing and entered through self-closing gates, so you can safely let your dog off the lead. The ground is level and flat, with nice small paths winding under the dense trees. The flat surface makes the area very easy to get around, including for dog owners with prams or limited mobility. Facilities are provided at the entrance, with benches where you can take a rest and bins, so it is easy to clean up after your dog. Getting there by car is easy. Heading south out of Asaa towards Hals on Strandvejen, you will find the dog park on the left after about 1.5 kilometres. There is a small gravel car park belonging to it right by the road. From the car park, a path takes you the last short stretch straight to the entrance gate in the fence.
