Dog parks on Læsø

On Læsø you step into a very special landscape in the middle of the Kattegat, where low dunes, salt meadows and windswept dune plantations meet the open sea. The island is known for its peace and quiet, its seaweed roofs and nature that feels untouched and vast. Here you and your dog can walk for hours along sandy paths without meeting a soul.

The nature around the fenced Læsø Klitplantage offers shade among the pine trees and soft paths winding through the dunes. It's a lovely dog park where your dog can sniff and explore, sheltered from the wind. The woodland gives you a quiet retreat, whether you're out for a short round or a longer hike.

Læsø's coast is long and low, with kilometres of sandy beach and shallow bays. On ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run free from 1 October to 31 March, always under your control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year round, so keep an eye on the signs at the beach.
