Rønhoffs Dogpark

Rønhoffs Dogpark is a newly opened, fully fenced private dog park (for hire) at Brunbjergvej 1 in Billund Municipality. It is run alongside Rønhoffs Hundepension & Træningscenter (boarding kennels and training centre) and differs markedly from the public dog parks: here you hire the area exclusively for you and your dog. That gives you peace of mind, as no unfamiliar dogs suddenly turn up. The fenced area covers a manageable space of about 1 hectare, or 10,000 m². To put that in perspective, it is just over 1.4 international football pitches. The ground differs from a classic forest: it is mainly a specially sown, extremely hard-wearing grass mix (the same type used on road verges) that easily withstands daily running and training. As the park is private, it is not open for spontaneous drop-in visits. Access requires booking in advance through their online system (see link further down). You hire the park in fixed 55-minute slots, and you can buy either a single slot or an annual pass. Once you have booked, you decide entirely who comes along, and you can bring a guest. This exclusive format makes it ideal for puppy meet-ups, undisturbed obedience and gundog training, or simply safe socialising for dogs. It is also very popular with the many tourists (e.g. LEGOLAND guests) who bring their dog on holiday and need a safe place to let it run off steam. The dog park has room for the whole family. Among other things, balls are provided, so children and dogs can play together on the robust lawn.
