Dog parks in and near Vejle

Vejle lies beautifully at the head of Vejle Fjord, surrounded by steep, wooded river valleys such as Grejsdalen and Mølholm Ådal. The fjord, the hills and the many woods give a varied landscape right on your doorstep. It is hard to find a Danish town with better access to nature for long dog walks.

In and around Vejle there is a wide range of woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks. Doxx Hundeskov is a popular fenced dog park, while Engelsholm Skov, Randal Skov (both fenced) and Frederikshåb Plantage offer woodland and shade for longer walks.

Many of the places have agility, and several have a puppy area, so even the youngest and most nervous dogs can get off to a safe start.

Vejle Fjord brings the coast right into town, and there are fine beaches along the fjord.

Remember the rules on ordinary beaches: your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on designated dog beaches may your dog swim and romp off-lead all year.
