Hundeskov ved Rugballegård skov

The dog park in Rugballegård Skov is a fenced dog park of just over 6 hectares, roughly 9 standard football pitches. It lies between Horsens and Hatting. The area combines dense woodland with established paths and open grassy areas, so there is room for both varied walks and play in the open. It is part of the 161-hectare Rugballegård Skov, which is linked by paths directly to Åbjergskoven and Bygholm Sø, together making up more than 300 hectares of continuous countryside. The dog park itself is fenced, so dogs can be off-lead under supervision. There is parking at the entrance, and inside the fenced area there are two picnic tables with benches free for everyone to use. The woods are open all year round, but note that there is no lighting in the area. To find the dog park, drive along Hattingvej/Ny Hattingvej. Coming from Horsens, turn right at the traffic lights by Bygholm Landbrugsskole (the agricultural college). Paths lead from the car park directly to the dog park's entrance gate. The project is part of Horsens Municipality's green initiative focusing on biodiversity and outdoor recreation.
