Dog parks in and near Skanderborg

Skanderborg sits beautifully by Skanderborg Sø in a hilly lake landscape with woods reaching right down to the water. The town is known for its nature, and woods, lakes and open meadows are close by in every direction. That makes everyday dog walks both varied and scenic.

In and around Skanderborg there is a good handful of dog parks within reach. Skanderborg Døjsøvej and Ry Hundeskov (fenced) offer woodland and shade close by, while several fenced areas - some with agility and a puppy area - provide a safe setting for play and training. From fenced dog areas in town to larger forests, there are plenty of ways to vary your walks.

Although Skanderborg lies inland, water plays a leading role here in the lake district. Several dog parks are close to a lake or stream where your dog can take a dip on a warm day - keep it on a lead near swimmers and birdlife.
