Birkhede Camping Hundeindhegning

Birkhede Camping Hundeindhegning is a private dog play area, specifically for the campsite's overnight guests, by Knudsø in Ry. It is important to stress that the fenced area is reserved solely for guests actually staying overnight at the campsite, in a tent, cabin or caravan. The area is therefore not open to the public or outside visitors. The play area itself is fully fenced, so guests' dogs can safely be let off-lead to run freely and stretch their legs. Outside this fenced area dogs must always be on a short lead, and dogs may not be exercised anywhere else on the campsite. For guests who want a longer walk with their dog on a lead, the popular "Knudsø Rundt" walking route passes right by the campsite. This route of about 10 kilometres goes all the way round the lake and crosses Maskenkol by Birkhede Camping, where you can enjoy fine views over the landscape before the walk continues through the hilly terrain and woodland of Søhøjlandet (the Lake District).
