Dog parks in and near Ry

Ry lies in the heart of Søhøjlandet (the Lake District) between Julsø, Gudenåen and the wooded hills around Himmelbjerget. This is some of Denmark's most beautiful countryside, where woodland, lakes and ridges meet. The setting is perfect for long and varied dog walks with views over the water.

Ry Hundeskov and Gammel Ry Hundeskov offer forest, shade and hilly terrain, and further out there are places such as Nordskov Hundeskov near Silkeborg. Several places have agility equipment, and the private dog parks (for hire) give you a safe place to let your dog off the lead.

Ry is not near the coast, but it is surrounded by lakes and woodland instead. By Julsø and the other lakes there are shores and spots good for swimming, and the woods alternate between beech, conifers and views over the water.
