Dog parks in East Jutland (Østjylland)

East Jutland is the land of deep fjords, where Vejle, Horsens and Mariager Fjord cut into a hilly landscape of wooded hills, river valleys and fertile fields. The nature is green and varied with deciduous woods, hilltops and sheltered fjord shores, and the short distances make it easy to vary your dog walks. The area is one of the most inviting in Jutland for walks in woods and by the water.

East Jutland (Østjylland) has a wide choice of woodland dog parks and fenced dog parks, and many of them are in woodland with good shade. Solbjerg Hundeskov (fenced) and the dog park at Mollerup Skov are among the well-known places, and several fenced dog parks offer both a puppy area and agility. There are both private and municipal areas, so you can choose anything from fenced dog areas to big, open woodland walks.

East Jutland's coast is shaped by its calm fjords, with lovely beaches and shores to walk along. On ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on a proper dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year round, so check the rules for each beach first.
