Engskov Hundeskov

Engskov Hundeskov is a fenced dog area along Engskovvej in Skødstrup. The dog park covers 0.8 hectares (8,000 square metres), which gives plenty of room for daily exercise and is a little over one standard football pitch in size. The dog park is safely fenced, so dogs can run, play and explore the terrain off-lead. In the middle of the area there are picnic tables where you can sit and enjoy the surroundings while your four-legged friend romps about. As the site belongs to Aarhus Municipality, a number of fixed rules apply to make sure everyone has a good experience. Always show consideration for other users, and you must pick up after your dog everywhere in the dog park - also when it does its business off the paths. Although the fenced area is a free space, your dog may only be let off the lead if you have full control of it, and the Danish Dog Act (hundeloven) always applies in the area. There are no official car parks nearby; the nearest option is the car park at Skødstrup Kirke (the church), from where it is only a short walk of about 300 metres to the dog run. When your visit is over and you leave the fenced area, your dog must always be on a lead for the rest of your walk.
