Lystrup Skov

Lystrup Hundeskov is a 6-hectare dog wood (hundeskov) of old deciduous woodland in central Lystrup. The whole wooded area is designated as a dog park where your dog may be off-lead. As the wood is not fenced, your dog must be under full control and you must be able to call it back, out of consideration for the wood's other visitors, including runners and cyclists. In the middle of the wood is a large clearing that serves as a natural meeting point with plenty of room for play. There is a picnic table with benches, a cosy octagonal fire shelter (bålhus) and various play equipment, often used by childcare institutions. There are rubbish bins at the entrances to the wood and by the fire shelter. If you want more security or play in a fenced space, there is the separate fenced dog park (Lystrup Øst) on the meadow between the church and the blocks of flats, right next to the wood.
