Dog parks in and near Risskov

Risskov lies on Aarhusbugten (Aarhus Bay) north of Aarhus, where the old Riis Skov meets the water. The combination of coast, woodland and green spaces close to the city creates an unusually varied natural setting. That makes the district one of the best places in East Jutland to walk your dog.

In and around Risskov you will find several woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks within easy reach of the area. Mollerup Skov and Skødstrup Skov offer forest, shade and hilly terrain, and further out there are places such as Egedal skov. Several places have agility equipment and plenty of room for puppies, so both play and training can take place safely.

Risskov is close to the coast, and along Aarhusbugten there is easy access to beach and water, including where Riis Skov runs right down to the shore. On ordinary beaches, dogs must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on official dog beaches may your dog swim and run off-lead all year round.
