Nimtofte Hundeskov

In the northern part of Nimtofte on Djursland, in the municipal woodland near the town between Randersvej and Stationsvej, you'll find Nimtofte Hundeskov. The dog park was created and provided by Syddjurs Municipality in response to requests from residents, to give local dogs more room to run. It is free to use for local dog owners, visitors to the area and residents of nearby towns such as Ryomgård, Ramten and Ørum. The off-lead area covers 0.9 hectares in total and is surrounded by a 450-metre fence line. If you arrive by car, there is easy access to the fenced area from the car park on Randersvej. At the entrance you pass through a double-gate entry, which splits the dog park into two separate areas. As the information board shows, go left for the area mainly intended for puppies and small dogs. The area on the right is mainly for larger dogs. Inside the dog park your dog may run off-lead, but must always be accompanied. The general liability rules of the Danish Dog Act apply here, and you must have full control of your dog at all times. To avoid conflicts, please don't bring bitches in season. The woods should be a pleasant place for everyone, including visitors without dogs. You're expected to show consideration for other visitors and animals, pick up after your dog and leave the area clean and tidy. You use the dog park at your own risk.
