About Skødstrup Skov
Skødstrup Hundeskov is a scenic off-lead area in Skødstrup Skov near the town of Skødstrup. Please note that this area is not fenced. Dogs in this part of the wood may run, sniff and play off-lead, so it is an absolute must that you have full control of your dog. You must be able to call it back at any time, so that it stays within the off-lead area and does not run off. The area is practically laid out with picnic tables where you can sit down and rest during your walk. There are also bins, so it is easy to get rid of used dog bags and help keep the wood clean and tidy for everyone. Once you leave the off-lead area - and in the rest of Skødstrup Skov - dogs must always be on a lead, out of consideration for the wildlife and other visitors.

Jeg var i Skødstrup Hundeskov med min hund tirsdag den 8. september 2015. Skoven er dejlig stor og med mange stier, men... skoven trænger i den grad til at blive udtyndet og områderne op til stierne burde blive ryddet for brændenælder. Det stod mange bænke rundt omkring, men de stod i et morads af ukrudt. Inde i skoven stod der 3 bænkesæt og der var anlagt en bålplads ved siden af. Stierne blev flittigt benyttet af løbere (så jeg), men de bliver også benyttet af cyklende og folk på deres rideheste. Stierne var mange steder meget ujævne og sumpede at gå på. Sollyset når næsten ikke ned i skoven, så stierne har svært ved at blive tørre. De mange dufte af andre hunde og nyhedens interesse bevirkede dog, at min hun nød turen rundt i skoven, som i øvrigt kun er delvist indhegnet. Når jeg kun giver en stjerne for Skødstrup Hundeskov er årsagen den, at der bliver redet og cyklet på stierne, så de er dårlige at gå på - og at skoven er dyster og tillukket og ikke er indhegnet. Det var ellers en skøn solskinsdag jeg gik turen i skoven ;-)
