Hundenes Fristed

Hundenes Fristed is a private dog course and sensory playground in the Aarhus area. It is a fully fenced self-booking area for dog owners who want to train or exercise their dog undisturbed in a completely safe setting. It covers 0.5 hectares (5,000 m²). Security is top-notch: the area is surrounded by a 160 cm high fence and has an airlock entrance with double gates, which stops your dog slipping out when you arrive and leave. As the site is private, you always need to book in advance and pay via MobilePay. You hire the course in fixed slots of 30, 45 or 60 minutes, and you decide whether it is used only by your own household or booked for a group with several dogs. The closed concept makes the area ideal for puppy meet-ups, undisturbed obedience training or dogs that are easily overwhelmed in public dog parks. The area stands out from traditional off-lead areas by being a combined fenced dog area and parkour course. In the middle there is a large open space for free play and recall training, while a fixed route of obstacles runs along the inside of the fence. Facilities include large tractor tyres, earth mounds with tunnels, a pallet tower, a springboard, a seesaw and a balance beam. The obstacles are built to stimulate your dog's senses, muscles and balance. As an important practical detail, the course is also lit after dark, so it can easily be used in the winter months. Access is very convenient if you arrive by car. There is good parking directly in front of the course, right by the entrance. From here you can safely lead your dog out of the car and straight into the airlock as soon as your booked slot begins. 15 min break between bookings to avoid awkward dog encounters in the car park. You can buy a punch card where every 10th visit is free.
