Østerby Skov (Hundeskov)

Østerby Skov Hundeskov is just south of Tranbjerg near Aarhus. It is fenced and covers 4.4 hectares, about six football pitches. The trees are still young and low, so it is more a mix of young woodland and open grass than real forest. The grass has plenty of room for playing ball, and many paths run through the area that stay fairly dry. There is a picnic table with benches for your coffee and a bin at the entrance. There is no water tap, so bring water for your dog. The paths make the area fairly easy to get around. There is a good car park by the dog park, and a shelter about 200 m away. The dog park is open all year, around the clock. Entry is free, and it is run by Aarhus Municipality.
