    In and around Hampen you will find a string of dog parks in the large plantations around the town. The area by Hampen Sø and Palsgård Skov, as well as Palmelunden in Gludsted Plantage, offer wide, shady areas of woodland, and several places have a puppy area for the youngest dogs.

    Hampen is not on the coast, but Hampen Sø is one of Denmark's cleanest lakes, where your dog can have a dip when it is under control. Otherwise it is the deep plantations with soft paths and plenty of shelter that carry the walks all year round.
