Hastrup Plantage hundeskov

Hastrup Hundeskov is in Hastrup Plantage. The dog park is fenced and covers 4.5 hectares. Coming from Brande, it is on the left as you drive along Hastrupvej (parking on the right). Coming from Thyregod, it is on the right as you drive along Ny Ågårdvej (parking on the left). The dog park has a small open area with a bench and water bowls (put out for everyone using the wood to share); otherwise it is mostly older conifer forest. The wood has 3 entrances, so if you would rather not use the gate by the car park (there are often quite a few dogs playing just inside it), one of the other gates is a good option. The wood has quite a lot of regular users who enjoy it with their four-legged friends, so you will often be lucky enough to meet other dogs and their owners. But the wood is also big enough to avoid running into others if that is what you prefer. Just pick one of the many, many paths other than those already in use at the time. Everyone is more than welcome. The wood is not suitable for people with limited mobility, though, unless they only come for the company and refreshments and settle on the bench by the main entrance... then it is just right... The ground in the wood is uneven (roots, branches etc.), because the wood, thankfully, has not been levelled so much, as many other dog parks have, that it no longer looks like a forest.
