Sannes Hundeskov

Sannes Hundeskov is a fully fenced private dog park (for hire) of just under two hectares at Sannes Hunde Center near Give. It can only be visited with advance booking and payment. This private dog park lets you walk your dog in complete peace. It is ideal for dogs that struggle with other dogs or have a strong hunting instinct, or if you simply want to avoid the busier public dog parks. There is a small obstacle course made of tyres and wood to train your dog's coordination. The wood is also very well suited to gun dogs, and training with a dummy launcher and starting pistol is fully allowed. As there is also regular shooting at the dog centre itself on weekdays, the area is generally not suitable for gun-shy dogs. The rules require you to fill in any holes your dog digs (there is a spade in the far right-hand corner), and always to pick up after your dog and use the bins provided. Visits always require advance online booking. Without one of the limited annual cards, you can book one hour at a time, up to two weeks ahead. Opening hours follow daylight. A standard booking covers one household with any number of dogs. If you want to bring people from other households, you can pay extra for this on the website. An annual card gives extended booking options: up to three active bookings at a time and bookings up to six months ahead. Once your booking is confirmed, you receive an email with the current code for the gate, which changes regularly. To keep things safe for everyone, there is a fixed rule at the gate: put the lock on the inside of the fence when you go in, and on the outside when you leave. That way the next guest in the calendar can always see clearly whether the wood is free before going in.
