Henning Hundeskov

The private Hennings Hundeskov is north-east of Ikast. It offers two separate, fully fenced off-lead areas of 2.5 and 1.5 hectares. It works through a private booking system with membership, which means you have your chosen area all to yourself. Both areas are securely surrounded by a 140 cm fence, giving a safe base for running and play off-lead. There is a shared car park on the north side of the large area, with easy access to both fenced areas. The dog park is still developing and is mainly open land broken up by newly planted hedgerows and small clusters of fruit trees, where you are welcome to taste a piece of fruit on your walk. The largest area, Hundeskov 1, also has two ponds, much loved by dogs that enjoy water. On the slightly smaller area, Hundeskov 2, the plan is to add fun activity equipment over time. The park is open every day from 06.00 to 22.00. Entry requires an annual card, which normally costs DKK 1,200 for the period 1 May to 30 April (paid by bank transfer). For the 2026-27 season, however, the price is reduced to DKK 1,000. As a member you may bring guests and their dogs free of charge during your booked times. You can have up to six active bookings in the calendar at once, and a standard slot lasts 30 minutes, with the option to extend. If you are curious, a free trial visit can be arranged on 40 92 18 10. To keep things calm and undisturbed, you are expected to leave your dog in the car until it is exactly your turn, so you avoid stressful dog encounters at the gate. You visit at your own risk, and of course you must pick up after your dog. If you find something another dog has left behind, you are encouraged to take that too, so this beautiful area always looks clean and inviting for everyone.
