Dog parks in and near Juelsminde

Juelsminde sits at the very tip of a peninsula facing the Kattegat in south-east Jutland, where coast, woodland and hilly farmland meet. The town is surrounded by woods and fjord landscape along Horsens Fjord to the north, and both the shoreline and woodland paths are close by. That mix makes Juelsminde a lovely place to walk your dog.

In and around Juelsminde you will find several woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks. Hundeskoven i Boller Overskov (fenced) and Tønballe Hundeskov offer hilly woodland with shade and good paths close to the fjord.

Stensballegaard Hundeskov (fenced) and several fenced areas give you a safe space where your dog can run free off-lead. Some places have agility equipment, so active dogs get a proper workout too.

The landscape around Juelsminde is shaped by its coastal woods, where paths wind beneath the treetops with glimpses of the sea in between. The forest floor is soft underfoot, and the treetops stay green most of the year, giving shelter when the wind comes in off the coast. Here it is the calm of the woods and the varied paths that make the walk - a peaceful natural space all year round.
