Sofienlund Skov

Sofienlund Hundeskov is in Sofienlund Skov north of Vejle, on the road towards Jelling. The wood is pure broadleaf woodland with tall beech trees, and the terrain is very hilly, with paths dropping down towards Grejsdalen and Polsterbækken. At 7.7 ha, or about 11 football pitches, there is plenty of room for a longer walk where your dog can run freely. The dog park is not fenced. To the north, the Polsterbækken stream forms a natural boundary, but there are no fences in the rest of the wood, so your dog must be under control and have a good recall. There are a few forest tracks and paths through the wood, with benches along the way. The hilly terrain makes the walk good exercise for both dog and owner, so wear good shoes. Please be considerate of other visitors in the wood, including those without dogs. The car park is at the south-west corner of the wood, about 350 m from the dog park. Use the Route button and choose "Parking" to find your way there. The dog park is run by Vejle Municipality.
