Hundestedet Vejen offers a fully fenced off-lead area of 0.7 hectares, laid out as a wild meadow with prepared paths and newly planted bushes and trees. The whole area is surrounded by a 160-centimetre-high deer fence, creating a safe base where you can unclip the lead with confidence. Because you hire the area privately by booking, no one else has access during your booking, so you get a completely undisturbed space with no risk of unexpected meetings with unfamiliar dogs. The dog park is very well equipped, with an exciting obstacle course at the back of the fenced area, built in 2021. There is also plenty for the comfort of two- and four-legged visitors: benches, a cosy covered eating area and free access to dog toys, dog poo bags and fresh drinking water. All use of the area and facilities is at your own risk, and you must always pick up after your dog. Booking the dog park costs DKK 40 for a full hour per household, which as a rule assumes the household arrives in one car. If you just need a quick break, the "Lynlufteren" option gives you half an hour of exclusive time for DKK 30. If you want to bring dog friends from other households inside the fence, you can easily add a guest ticket to your booking. To keep the place peaceful, there are clear guidelines for arrival and departure, both of which are included in your booked time. When you arrive, drive straight ahead in the driveway and park either on the gravel by the picnic table or down to the left between the fenced areas. To avoid stressful situations for the dogs, wait in your car up on the gravel until your time starts, on the minute. This is also because the owners are often out on the grounds doing maintenance outside booked times.
