Dog parks in and near Kolding

Kolding lies at the head of Kolding Fjord in East Jutland, where river valleys, woods and the fjord coast meet in the middle of the town. With green wedges reaching right into the centre and woodland in every direction, you have plenty of options for good dog walks.

In and around Kolding there are several woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks within a short distance. Harte Skov west of the town offers wide open space and broad trails, while the fenced Kolding Åpark Hundeskov follows the river close to the centre. Several places are fenced, and you will find both agility and puppy-friendly fenced areas where the youngest can practise safely.

Kolding Fjord cuts in towards the town, but on ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year, so check the signs by the water.

Outside the bathing season the fjord coast is lovely for bracing walks with a view.
