Dog parks in and near Middelfart

Middelfart lies beautifully on Lillebælt (the Little Belt), where Funen meets Jutland, with the sea, slopes and woodland close by. The town's waterside location and nearby woods make it a lovely place to walk your dog.

For Middelfart and the surrounding area, this page brings together woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks from both sides of Lillebælt. Several of the woods offer shade and plenty of space, and a couple of places have agility for the active dog. Head, for example, to Middelfart Hundeskov or Vestermoseskoven, both fenced and within driving distance of the town.

Along Lillebælt there is plenty of scope for coastal walks with your dog. Be aware of the rules: on ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year.
