Dog parks in and near Hesselager

Hesselager lies in south-eastern Funen facing Storebælt (the Great Belt), in a peaceful landscape of fields, small woods and a gently rolling coast. From the town, green paths and open water are close at hand, and the whole area has a relaxed, rural feel. It is a lovely place for long, undisturbed dog walks.

In and near Hesselager you will find a few woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks in eastern Funen, including towards Nyborg and Svendborg. The places range from areas near woodland with shade to more open spaces, and the fenced Tåsinge Hundepark is an obvious choice when your dog needs room to run free. Even with a smaller choice, there is good variety in the walks.

With Storebælt so close, a walk along the coast is a natural part of dog life around Hesselager. Remember that on ordinary beaches dogs must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run free from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year round, so always follow the signs at the beach.
