    Nyborg lies on Storebælt (the Great Belt) on the east coast of Funen, where sea, beach and woodland meet. With the town facing the water and woods close by, it is an obvious place to walk your dog.

    In and around Nyborg you will find several woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks a short distance apart. A couple of them are private or fenced, giving a safe setting, while the woods offer shade and space.

    Try Christianslund Skoven or Borgmesterskoven (not fenced), both close to town.

    Along Storebælt there are good chances for coastal walks with your dog.

    Mind the rules: on ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run off-lead from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year.
