Dog parks on Falster

Falster is known for its long, wide sandy beaches along the Baltic Sea, not least at Marielyst and Bøtø. Behind the dunes and beaches lies a flat, lush landscape of woods, fields and the bird-rich Bøtø Nor. The mix of coast and woodland makes Falster a lovely place to walk your dog all year round.

On Falster you'll find both dog parks in beautiful countryside and fenced dog parks in the towns. The fenced Bøtø hundeskov lies close to the coast, while Hannenovskoven offers a larger woodland area with shade and shelter among the trees. A few places have agility equipment, so active dogs can get a proper workout too.

Falster's east coast has some of Denmark's finest bathing beaches, but remember the lead rules if you bring your dog. On ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run free from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Outside the bathing season the wide beaches are ideal for long walks in fresh sea air.
