Dog parks in and near Vordingborg

Vordingborg lies in South Zealand on Storstrømmen, a short trip from Præstø Fjord, Avnø and the bridges to Møn and Falster. The town, with its old Gåsetårnet (the Goose Tower), is surrounded by coast, woodland and open countryside.

That gives you a varied hinterland where a dog walk can switch between beach, forest floor and meadow.

In and around Vordingborg there's a wide range of dog parks. Avnø Fritløbsareal offers open terrain near the coast, while the fenced Præstø Hundeskov and Rønnebæk Hundeskov give you woodland and shade closer to town. Several of the parks have agility equipment and a puppy area, and you can choose between fenced dog parks and larger woodland areas.

Set right by the water, Vordingborg has good beaches nearby. Remember the rules: on ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run free from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on designated dog beaches may your dog swim and run off-lead all year round.
