Dog parks in and near Næstved

Næstved lies in South Zealand on Susåen (the river), with a short way to woodland, river valley and coast. The town is surrounded by green spaces and has the fjord coast towards Karrebæksminde within reach, so there are plenty of chances for varied dog walks.

In and around Næstved you will find a wide range of woodland dog areas and fenced dog parks. Several places have agility and plenty of room for free play, while the woods give shade on warm days. Try Herlufholm hundeskov, which is fenced, or Rønnebæk Hundeskov, both close to town.

Towards the coast at Karrebæksminde and Præstø there are fine opportunities for walks by the water. Remember the rules: on ordinary beaches your dog must be on a lead from 1 April to 30 September and may only run free from 1 October to 31 March, always under control. Only on an official dog beach may your dog swim and run off-lead all year.
